What is Dorn Therapy?
A wholistic, gentle, effective, non-manipulative vertebra and joint treatment. It is a simple and safe way to correct misalignments of the Spinal column and other joints. It is an effective and safe Manual Therapy and “True Self Help Method”. During my treatment session I will show you simple exercises to do at home that can reinforce and continue the treatment – and that means fewer treatments.
The aim is to correct subluxations (partial displacements) of the hip joint. By nature it can easily “slip” out of its position. A uneven hip joint can lead to uneven leg length, which can cause the pelvis to be thrown out of its horizontal position and this leads to various problems of the spinal column. The body seeks to maintain balance and will compensate for displaced joints, this can put but strain on various muscles, ligaments and tendons. In a chronic condition the muscles are permanently tense, nerve fibres are compressed and all body processes are compromised. Beside obvious ailments such as back pain, headaches, sciatica, ‘arthritic’ knees and hips, wry neck, tennis elbow and shoulder pain, organ dysfunctions can often also be traced to the spine. In many cases Dorn Therapy, as part of an holistic treatment programme has often saved the patient the necessity for surgical solutions such as hip and knee replacements or spinal fusion.
This treatment is completely safe and is free of unpleasant side effects. You will be amazed by the results you’ll get with this treatment. Learn more here.
What is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping therapy is an ancient form of folk medicine whose origins are obscure.
While cupping therapy is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is clear that this art of treatment has also been practised in folk medicine in many nations of Asia and even Europe.
Cupping has been used with moxibustion and massage for many centuries. Moxibustion is a traditional Eastern Asian medical therapy using “moxa” made from dried mugwort (Artemisia argue) to heat similar acupuncture points and meridians to mobilise blood flow in order to promote healing. I’m using mainly “Regular Choseikyu Moxa” from Japan, by placing the Moxa on the skin and lighting it up to bring heat to the area. Normally moxibustion treatment should be done 2-3 times a week. Just let me know if you want the treatment incorporated into your cupping therapy before treatment.
The method behind cupping is to create a vacuum inside a vessel which is placed on the skin, generating suction within the cup. The cup then sticks to the skin and draw the skin and superficial muscle up into the cupping jar. This suction is maintained by leaving the cups on the skin for about 5-15 minutes. The effect of the suction is to create local congestion of blood to the area which can be very beneficial in various conditions. Cupping is used for arthritis, rheumatism, low back pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, muscular tightness and spasm, stiff neck, common cold and asthma. Simplicity and safety of the cupping therapy makes it more accessible then other complex therapies like acupuncture. Most of the traditional methods of applying the cups involve the use of flame, in my clinic i use plastic cups with valves which are applied be attaching a vacuum pump to the valves and sucking the air out of the cups. Normally Cupping treatment should be done once a week.

What is Hot Stone Therapy?
The application of hot stones to an area penetrates the tissue deeper; melts away muscle stiffness and releases tension. Furthermore, with the application of cold stones acute injuries can be treated better, by reducing muscle inflammation.
Hot Stones bring oxygenated blood to an area, increasing lymph flow and metabolism. Conversely, cold stones push away unwanted congestion, inflammation and blockages of any kind. The result is “vascular gymnastics” which helps detoxify the body and bring it back to balance. This leads to a feeling of well being and deeper state of relaxation.
